Buffon + Trezeguet = € 97Million

Manchester City are ready to launch a mega €97 million bid for Juventus duo Gianluigi Buffon and David Trezeguet.

The mega rich club are ready to spend heavily in order to move in the right directions in terms of becoming a major player on every level, not just on the transfer scene but on the honours stage too.

Tuttosport claims City's owner Sheik Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan is ready to offer the Turin giants €75m for Buffon and a further €22m for Trezeguet.

It is believed the Arab owners have a transfer kitty of €600m and so Juve's players will seem like small change to the Premier League side. If the deal takes off, Buffon will earn €15m over a five year period.

The goalkeeper has always been linked with city and it was Goal.com who exclusively revealed that the goalkeeper would not be joining the English club last month.

Voices coming from Turin have also ruled out a move for Trezeguet. His agent has confirmed the striker will not be leaving during the transfer window.

However, Juventus are building a new €100m stadium and the sale of both players would pay for the new state of the art facility.
